Creating Bowie Dick, Leak Tests, and Warm-Up Cycles for Steam Sterilizers

Users with the appropriate permissions can add special test and warm-up cycles (Bowie Dick, Leak Test, Warm-Up) to steam sterilizers.

Steps to Add a Cycle

1. Navigate to the Sterilizer page.
2. Select the sterilizer you want to update.
3. Click on the 3 dots next to the sterilizer name and choose Edit Load.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Add Cycle.
5. From the options, select Steam.
6. Choose one of the available cycle types:
   1. Bowie Dick
   2. Leak Test
   3. Warm-Up 

Special Options for Bowie Dick

When creating a Bowie Dick cycle, you can configure whether Lot Code or Expiration Date are required fields.

1. Once your selection is complete, click Save.
2. The new cycle will now be added to the dropdown list for that sterilizer.
